- Will I lose image quality?
- Some — compression to a specific size always trades off quality for file size. This tool picks the highest quality that still fits your target, so the loss is as small as possible.
- What if the target size can't be reached?
- You'll be told plainly, and shown the smallest size we could actually achieve — we never pretend a target was hit when it wasn't.
- Does this work with PNG files?
- Yes, though PNG is a lossless format with no quality setting, so its size can only shrink so far. If you need a much smaller file, we'll offer to convert it to JPEG or WebP.
